It began when it started getting cold in our area,the first year after we moved here in southern Illinois. Lance started making kitty blankies for our kitty's. We have 12 resident kitty experts in our family. He was explaining to one of his friends what kitty blankies are, and she asked if he could make a kitty blankie for one of her kitty's, who had just had an operation. He did, and I mailed it to her.
She is, and Lance is also, a member of the cats forum on about.com, (that's http://www.forums.about.com/ab-cats), so when she received her kitty's blankie, she posted everyone about it, and put up pictures. More and more people wanted a kitty blankie for their kitty's!
Finally, someone suggested that in order to let everyone know what kitty blankies are and how they came about that we get a website.So, here it is!
